Default 2007 Model Information

The gasgas corporate site now has the 2007 models listed along with their respective owners manuals and parts manuals. Check out www.gasgasmotos.es .

I downloaded the parts manual and saw the new subframe design. I also noticed that the rear plastic is now one piece - the side panels and the rear panel are all one piece of plastic.

The listed weight is much less - but the photo is that of a bike in DE or XC trim - no turn signals mounted, etc. The rear fender support is eliminated on all bikes (DE or EC). They probably dropped a pound or two in the redesign of the rear subframe, airbox/panels/plastic and incorporation of an LED taillight. But only time (and a true scale) will tell.

Just got done downloading the EC manuals. I noticed the air filter uses a spring-loaded attachment. Also, the seat is a single bolt attachment. I wonder if the new subframe will fit previous years.

I also downloaded the 4T manual and noticed there was no valve adjustment section. Since there is no FSE workshop manual (even for previous years), how do riders know what the valve tolerances are supposed to be?

Is the 4T called FSR or FSE? You see both being used in the literature.

EDIT:
Learned something new today... I found the 2004/2005 FSE workshop manual, it does show engine teardown/rebuild and valve adjustments. I'm suppose the 2007 would be similar???

Looking at the parts fiche - I doubt the subframe can be used on previous years without stepping up to the new airbox, rear tail section & seat...

The "single bolt" for the rear seat is a dzus fastener. Quick release seat - just like the Kwik-Seat in the tech articles section here.

Another thing to note is that the rear shock in the photo does look like a boge/sachs.

The new 4t is supposed to be and FSR according to what I have read.

I noticed that quick release seat too and the shock does look different than an Ohlins.

Did anybody notice the racing parts? If you click on racing on the left then enduro it shows a few racing options. 50mm forks, and a big fuel tank for the 4st.

Yea I have seen that also. 18litre tank for the 450 looks interesting.

Default 2007 crossover parts for older GasGas bikes

The 2007 subframe, airbox, filter, all in one rear fender and seat should all be interchangeable. But you will have to buy them all.

As I understand it the seat does not use a Dzus fastener. Instead it uses a large flat pan head philips screw with a 6 mm thread that stays with the seat. The bolt will go into a nylon locknut that is part of the subframe.

Default 2007 450FSR changes

The only changes I know for sure is that the 2007 FSR (formally known as the FSE) is the name is being changed to FSR (R for race, I guess) and their painting the swing arm black.
