Reed spacer removal.
Is it safe to run an 02 300 without the spacer? I am loking to pep the bike up a bit, just double checking as I remember something about it possibly causing a lean condition. I have the LTR needle with 42/178 clip #2 spot ridden at 500-5000 feet

It will be fine without the spacer. Biggest hassle may be the airboot taking a set from years of it being installed and being a few mm short. Clamp the carb in the airboot first, use a hair dryer to soften the rubber, pull it into position and tighten the RAD valve clamp.

Screws may be too long. I had that problem. Do it though, b/c it woke my 250 up quite a bit.

Screws were a bit long, the bike definately comes on the pipe quicker. The carb seemed to fit just fine without the spacer though I had the subframe bottom bolts out to get it snug.
