Default Gas cap leakage problem - "New Seal"

As you can see the rubber seal underneath late model Gasgas dirtbikes is made of a low quality rubber that shrinks and becomes hard within a few weeks of use. We have developed a new urethane rubber seal that eliminates this problem. Price is $5. Send a SASE and 5 bucks to: Atlantic Moto Sports, 1400 Mayport Rd, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233 www.atlanticmotosports.com

Will they fit older models? My 2003 gap leaks slowly, it's annoying.

Hmmm, my bike did the same and I had to search auto stores to try and find something. I ended up with a poor fitting cork gasket that I crammed in there. Seems to be working for now but I would like a more permanent fix.

Anything worked out if a Canadian wants one? Mind you, I think our postal workers went on strike today or are going on strike this week!

Thanks, seems basic but essential. I got a little nervous last weekend riding around with flammable liquid spilling in my crotchal area...$5 will be in the mail when I get home.

Cool! Are you using that new gas cap gasket in conjunction with the old one or just tossing the old one out?
If your tossing the old one out what keeps the ball bearing from potentially rattling out of its plastic snapped on cap inside the gas cap?

anyhow its just a matter of time before I need one on my 2011. Ive always run into this issue over the years. Pretty sure the ethanol they add to our fuel kills the stock gasket.

The seal in my '10 model only lasted 7 months and that is with no ethanol in fuel(australia). The new cap is holding up ok after 5 months.

Think it's just poor quality rubber.

Sent $10; it's worth that to me. I've already bought a second cap and it is now leaking too on an '11 model.
