Just make sure the plastic cap in the center retaining the checkball is tight so you don't drop it in the tank, as there is nothing in the center now to retain it. Pop it off and bond it back on if needed. I started cutting the center out of my stock gaskets anyway since the little pin hole vent shrunk almost shut once causing the bike to starve for fuel.

Default new billet caps

has anyone tried these aluminum caps ? I ask, in part because I'm wondering if anyone had any vent issues ... they sure aren't cheap, either ! But they are supposed to help with the leaking tank issue. If we could only be rid of ethanol ... and all the crap that goes with it ...

If you find a place that sells them, lemme know I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Sent my $5 and SASE off today. Tried all kinds of gasket material and they either shrink or expand when exposed to gas...GRRR!!! This is my last resort unless someone else knows of another trick.

Just got things up and running on my end! I may have a fix for the cap leaking problem? As long as it is not the tank that is in part causing the leak as I have seen on some bikes. My website is now up and running and I can take orders on S3 items such as the billet cap or just the seal for it. The seal may work on the stock cap as well? Let me know if you guys wanna try.

Cheers,

Rick
