As long as the bore diameter of the piston is correct, with proper wall clearance like any other piston, the CR250 piston works perfectly. Plus, they're cheaper and have a much wider range to choose from. About 4 years ago I used a Vertex 23249B 66.34mm piston, which was listed as an option for the '89-'94 Honda CR250, in my '05 EC250. Now it only lists it as for GasGas and TM. If you ever go this route be careful and compare to what was in there! The normal stock bore most sell for the CR250 is 66.40mm.
