Default Scorpion Linkage skid

I am in need of a couple lowering linkage skids. I talked to Steve at Scorpion Racing and he said that if he could get enough guys together that were interested he would do a run on them. I believe these skids will lower a 12 model about 20mm and a 13 model about 10mm. Several of us have them on our bikes here and they work awesome for sliding over the rocks and logs. Also they really protect the lower shock end.
So if you are a shorter rider and would like to lower your bike a little while protecting your lower shock give Steve a call and get your name on a list. Hopefully if we can get enough orders in he will do a run on them. Thanks!

Here's his website,

Do these use the stock linkage rods or longer ones?

These are not the standard linkage guards are they.
Glenn, you bought one, they don't lower the bike do they?
I am asking as I have just purchased one and don't want my bike any lower.
Cheers Mark

Mark,

There were two versions originally available. A standard length one that retained stock height and a longer one to lower the bike. I got a standard length, as I like the bike the way it is too. GasGas (member) tipped me off to one on a shelf in a shop in Canada and I grabbed it. Only one run was made. I was in the process of designing my own, an add on made from a HDPE extrusion (channel stock), but my shock couldn't wait. I added a thin piece of HDPE to the bottom of the Scorpion to make it even easier to slide over stuff if it touches down. Its been good, my only issue is that it traps a lot of mud around the lower shock eye and is difficult to clean out. I'm going to look into opening this up a bit if I can without compromising it.

If you ride rocks something like this is a must or you will be replacing the lower shock mount.

Thanks mate,
I actually managed to get one through the importer of Scorpion gear over here. I am hoping it is standard as I did not know they made a longer version.
Cheers Mark

These were made for the 2012 models. So on a 2013 the std. one will actually raise the seat height a little and the lowering one will lower the seat height just a little.
