Default 2011 EStart EC300 Gasket Adjustment Kit

I just received a recall gasket kit for my estart. The starter would only engage 50% of the time. Has anyone installed this kit? It comes with three gaskets. Do you just measure the distance from the case to the end of the flywheel teeth? The instructions show a range of distance as followsI assume this is in millimeters as the instructions don't specify the measurement unit and the gaskets aren't numbered.)

1. X < 35.7 use 1 gasket ME250544004-3

2. 35.7 < X < 36 use 1 gasket ME250544004

3. 36 < X < 36.3 use gasket ME250544004-8

4. X > 36.3 use 2 gaskets ME250544004-8 and ME250544004-3.

My gap is 20MM, so I need to install the thinest gasket in the set(ME250544004-3)? Is that correct?

It's easy to swap gaskets and just try the starter. Try the thickest one first, then go thinner one at a time and see how it changes.

Some information in this post that will describe how the system works. http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10775

Sorry for the long delay w/o an update. I installed the gasket kit using two powervalve gaskets and the biggest and smallest of the gaskets in the gasket kit. The starter engages well and and seems to work fine.
