Default Weighed my sons 99 EC200 today

I weighed several bikes today all with full fuel and ready to go:
My son's 1999 EC200: 267 lbs
My 1997 GasGas trials bike: 187 lbs
My 2002 street legal cannondale: 297 lbs

I was surprised because both GasGas bikes feel lighter than that. The cannondale definitely does have some heft...

Does the 200 have an 8 gallon gas tank?

I have a certified pallet scale at work. Once I get my 200 back together I am going to put her on the scale as well. It will not be pretty

The 200 had a full extra large tank and full rad, frame and bash guards, a tall seat, loop style handguards and a trailtech headlight. Nothing else out of the ordinary except retrofitted Olins forks.

I would have never guessed a 200 weighed that much. I have heard of guys weighing their GG 250's and 300's and not even being that much.

Hi Rick,
Still have the 45 Zokes. I'm thinking about putting them on for my son instead of revalving and respringing the Olins. He doesn't weigh 215 like me.

The '99 forks are sketchy in the rocks. The slot cut in the side of the cartridge would make it do odd things when the rocks got the suspension real busy. I'd find myself heading off the trail in more than one white knuckle episode as in NJ and PA leaving the trail means a short trip into a solid object.

I put the '96 KYB cartridges in my '99 forks (c-cycle's kit) and it made them more predictable in the high speed rough stuff.
