200's are being made..

As for smaller that that I'm sure they are working towards it. But it takes time to do this stuff right.

In less than two years we've gotten an entirely new enduro bike with three different motors. A solid competitor to the X-Trainer. A class winning electric trials bike. And a TXT with a good number of changes for '19.

EICMA is right around the corner. I'm sure we'll see something new or changed. But I doubt we'll see a 125-150 this year.

The GG 125s were 20lbs lighter than the larger bikes.

Default 150+ cc ?

a 200 cc engine is based on the larger engine (200-250-300) , and the 125 was unique ?
can I try a 200cc cylinder on a 125cc case ? ala: orange bike ?
or is it shared with whose 125 cc power plant ? TM ?
I would definitely consider a 150cc variant if Gas Gas made one

The 125 have a different engine case which does not fit with the larger engines. The motor is similar to the YZ125. The biggest big bore on the 125 is 58mm for 144cc. For bigger bore the wall thickness of the cylinder is too small.
The weight difference to the bigger bikes is only because of the smaller and lighter engine. The rest is the same except the frame with different mounting brackets for the engine.

I read a post a while back that claimed to have installed a big bore YZ125 cylinder on the GG bottom end. The GG125 uses YZ125 power valve parts. I think you will be waiting a while for GG to build a factory 150 so in the mean time you can build your own. There are several companies that modify your stock cylinder to build a big bore or here is a bolt on kit for the GG125.

Default 144 kit

thanx for the info Zman, and Elvis
I did buy an Athena 144cc kit from Italy last year for my 02 125 project I bought without a cylinder, and expansion chamber... I haven't got far enough to install it yet tho? my '15 bike will get it once I've wore out, or destroyed the topend on that. I don't get to ride much as I would like, so I don't know when that will happen

Default Athena 144cc cylinder kits

This is where I purchased my 144cc Athena kit...
They have informed me they do not ship to the US last week...
I wonder what changed their minds...
I'm doing a 144cc conversion on a TM125 now with Eric Gorr...
