Default can i add a battery

just thinking out loud here. I was thinking if I could add a small battery which can be charged off the charging/lighting coil so I could run my trailcrap with out the rev counter working in reverse and not worry about the little battery dying on me, any thoughts

I found this

That pack is intended to be used with their 1 amp charger. You would need to add a voltage rectifier to your bike, but the output might not match up to their battery pack. In that case the battery pack could be destroyed. You also have to float the ground if you add a full wave rectifier.

Simplest solution is to buy 3 battery packs and swap them when riding.
