Default Gas Gas EC200 01' CDI Box

Dear Gassers,

I just bought my first GasGas... It's a 200 Ec, but know i'm a lil bit bugged because my cdi is broken down... don't know what happened. So i'm looking for another one?
Does anybody have an idea about where to buy it, is there another option, like replace it with another kind of cdi box or and thats the most wonderful solution does anyone have a spare one???

Grtzzzzz!!!

Its a Kokusan ignition just like on KTMs, so a CDI from a KTM will work with some simple harness splice work. I suspect a KTM CDI will be easier to find in Belgium.

Before you give up on it, drop a couple strands of wire in each hole on the cdi plug. Then plug it back in. I had the same problem on my 125. It seems the plug connection must wear out to the point that it only makes intermittent connection. That bike is still running years later.

Also, the wiring can break inside the insulation from flex where the subframe is lifted for service.
