2013 EC300 Fork Oil Level
I am about to change the fork springs on a '13 EC300 with the twin chamber Marzocchi's.
From what I can tell the oil level on the outer tubes is 330cc's. Can anyone confirm this? I am guessing 5w oil? *Edit - I found this PDF manual on the Marz site: http://moto.marzocchi.com/en/front-f...12002&LN=en-US It states 320cc @ 7.5w. A confirmation on this would be awesome, thanks. |

I used 320cc w 7.5 and it seems to work well. Side note when I drained my old original oil each leg only produced around 200cc.

I am seeing the same thing, very little oil in each leg.

Its not uncommon for these forks to do something with the oil. Its been mentioned by many people that over time the level drops. I think its a combination of some being cycled through the cartridge and then sitting above the ICS piston, some being in the chamber (overfilled waiting to be purged), some being between the inner/out fork legs, and some being used to lubricate the lower fork.
All these little bits must add up. I found them to have high service intervals, and its in your best interest to try and follow them. |
