Default Wow!

Over last weekend I replaced my CCK needle with the N3CG in my 2000 XC327 and WOW! I am honestly amazed how crisp and clean it is jetted across the board and I love the fast throttle response! That is the best 15 bucks I spent on the bike since I bought it. The CCK has been my go to needle in the past and it works pretty well in our 2003 MC250 and 2004 DE300, but I need to try the N3CG or N3EG in those as well.

Great to hear you've found a needle/jetting that works well, it's very satisfying to get your carb working nicely.

I've just spent the last few weeks experimenting with the N1EG needle, getting my EC300 jetted where I want it.

I was wondering what a XC327 is?

I'm guessing it's a XC300 with a big bore kit? Is that correct?

All the best, Dave.

Hi F5, I've got my bike running nice with the N1EG needle, it start easy, idles nice, clean and crisp straight from idle to all throttle positions, pulls hard.

However, seeing as you're adamant this needle is no good I'm willing to try an N3xx needle to see if there's something I'm missing!!

Are you using the stock No.7 throttle slide?

Can anyone tell me the difference between an N1xx needle and an N3xx?

Hi Zman, can you give us the full setup of your carb? Are you using the stock No.7 throttle slide?

Pilot Jet - ?
Air Screw ? turns out
N3CG Clip Position -?
Main Jet - ?
Throttle Slide - ?

Thanks and all the best, Dave.

The 327 is a bigbore using a 76mm piston. It works really well for me. It has more low end and midrange than our other 300, but it has a little less overrev.
I cannot seem to find my old 327 post on this forum, but here is a link with more details. https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic...omment-7879885

I will open the carb and get the rest of the jetting details.
