Default Intermittent no start when warm

Like the titles say, intermittent no start when warm. The bike works perfect once it's running and it always starts when cold. Tugging around on the kill switch wire maybe helped, I don't know.... The kill switch seems to check out (although I need to verify that maybe the button could have been sticking or just dirty grease in there causing a short. I just cleaned all the connections around the coil and the coil to the frame. I just cut a 1/4 inch off the spark plug wire and reattached the cap. The screw on cap on the plug is tight. I couldn't get it to happen in the drive way last week after getting the bike hot. But then it happened out on the trail again. I don't want to get stranded in the woods as it's a long walk in dirt bike boots.....
What to check next?

Not starting needs to be clarified. Is it turning over with the button but not firing? Or is it not turning over on the button at all? Is it kick starting?

Turning over like a champ. It does not start with the kicker either when it happens. Unlike a power problem that disables the button start but still kick starts. I just tore the carb down and it looks like a had a bit of fine sediment in the bowl. The pilot make have been plugged or picking up and dropping the fine sediment. All clean now. I will see how it works tomorrow.

Yeah could well be that. Hopefully all good now. I had to fit a quality fuel filter to stop that fine sediment from plugging the pilot. Only downside to running a 40 or smaller pilot.

Its funny how it will kind of run ok with a blocked pilot but start badly in some circumstances , then you clean it out and Wow, the difference in how it runs.

Bike started a bit better today but the issue still lurks. Will be picking up a fuel filter on Tuesday. Anxious to see if there is more crap in the carb again. It's that or I have an electrical component on the way out. But usually you get no start at all when they are acting up and up to temperature.

A buddy of mine had what seems to be the same problem you're having although it was with a trials bike. It would start and run fine till I got hot and it would die and wouldn't start till it cools back off. Ended up being a stater he sent it to Ricky Stator and they rewound it Bike Run find ever since

I'm still leaning towards a fuel issue as the bike never just up and dies. It just will not re start after turning it off. Towards the end of the ride I thought the next time it happens I would try it with the choke, but of course it never acted up again.

Shouldn't you rather slightly open the throttle instead of choke?

Have you checked if the spark is there?

Did you ever figure out what the issue was with your bike not wanting to start when warm?
