Default exhaustgasket EC250 -00

i think i blew the exhaustgasket on my EC250 SM -00 - doing a 100mph pull on the road.... Anyone have a picture and can tell me the measurments of such ?

It could also be the gasket between the exhaust flange and the cylinder. If it is that gasket, you can remove the flange and cut a gasket out of flat gasket material with a sharp knife.

Did the flange just come loose? Not sure how an exhaust gasket like that could just fail with how that flange is designed. That being said, my 1992 volvo wagon eats an exhaust gasket every year. The header pipe isn't quite flat, so pressure isn't evenly distributed, so the gasket fails.

If/when ;-) the pipe gets bent, it puts an uneven force on the flange and gasket.

The upper of the three bolts onthe flange was gone and the gasket kinda exploded - i ordered one finally. but made a temporary out of gasket-material - and it actually works.

There you go - lost bolt, gasket eroded. Nailed it.
