Bike is in the container on a ship from Spain, so I guess I will know lots about these forks in 6 weeks.

Anyone got one yet?

You are one lucky person Keg. I don't know anything about the forks, but please be sure to post a picture of the beast when you get it. I'd love to see it

Still 3 1/2 weeks away at the moment, but I am informed that the spring rates are as follows:

5.4kg/mm rear and 0.44kg/mm fork springs.

Still means I will go up a rate each end, but I believe an Ohlins rear still fits and Racetech say there is 5 different springs available for 48mm forks, so one should fit, fingers crossed!

I have just opened the new forks and they fit the 06-08 WR450 fork springs. These springs are 5mm shorter than what is standard in the EC300R so a bit of preload is required.

The trickest thing in the bike is the anodized red eccentric shaft in the lower shock mount to adjust the ride height! Thats cool!

Be happy about the Sachs on the 09s. I just spent 6 days on an EC250R and must say it's the best bike I've ever ridden. Sachs is a good thing.

Your are not wrong Steve, they are a good thing. Getting some miles on the new bike, and liking the front end more and more. Rode an 08 FSR450 back to back with it and they are very very different front ends.

I have been doing a fair bit of high country riding. Steep rocky hills up and down and the forks are good. They must have a fair bit of valving in compared to the ol' shivers as I am running the clickers a long way out compared to them.
