Default Wheel Color Hub Color

I'm dropping my rims and hubs off at a powder coater tomorrow or friday and i am on the fence about what color combo to go with. So Id like to see what you guys think would look the best. Im trying to frshen up my 2001 EC200. The bike is currently pretty much dismantled for the complete engine rebuild that is underway, so i will post a pic of a bike that looks pretty much the exact same as mine except i have blck pro tapers and a solid black guts seat.

I like all those colors. I voted for gold rims and polished hubs. If it were me though, I'd leave the rims silver and polish the hubs. It would be nice to find some light spokes too. That could shave a pound per wheel!

Not a very good pic but if you look close at my TXT I had my rims anodized black then I polished the edges. Took awhile but I really like how they turned out. I since had my Husky red rims (that faded pink) anodized black also but have not polished the edges yet. I see a lot of the newer Trails bike have rims like this now.

That TXT looks really good.

Looks like there is no clear winner so far.

Im leaning towards the gold with polished i think.

how did you get those edges polished so neatly? I am sure it hides scratches better than the GG black

Dremel tool and one of these. You are taking the black anodizing right off.

Then Dremel tool Autosol and one of these.

It took me a good afternoon to respoke and polish both.
I'd say 4-6 beer job.
With powder coating you could mask off the edge before applying the powder that would save a hell of a lot of work.

Well verdict is Black Rims and either polished hubs or gold.

The powder coater I am using did not have a good gold.

So now I must decide....Glossy, Semi, or Flat.

Looking at the hubs, they look almost like magnesium.

Does anyone know for sure?
