Default How to disengage tach RPM shift light

2007 GasGas FSR 450

I must have engaged the RPM shift light because ~4500rpm the tachometer flashes

The manual says to hold the reset button down for 2 seconds while on the RPM page to disengage but that doesn't make it stop.

Is there a trick to turning this function off?

Is there another reason why it would flash ~4500 in all gears besides the shift light function ?

Maybe my unit is just worn out & need to replace it w/ a Trailtech?
