Default Polisport plastic.

Has anybody dealt with these guys? http://www.worldwidemx.com/product_p/p-90126.htm They have plastics for the 07 for $114.00. Are these a good deal? I've never seen Polisport products. Any comments on quality?

Thanks.

I had a guy T-Bone me when I first got my 07 bike. I called up and ordered the new air box plastics and they were poli sport. No complaints from me on the quality.

Polisport is now the OEM plastic supplier for GasGas. We tried bringing in Polisport plastic for a while but the colors did not match very well. At the time most of the colors were slighlty off exact OEM matches.

I have two theories of why the colors may be off:

1) they produce the "aftermarket" product while their finishing up production for either Suzuki (yellow), Honda (red) and Yamaha (blue) and they have left over colored plastic that needs to be mold injected or thrown away.

and/or

2)Some of the plastic pieces may be seconds and the factory rejects them.

In all cases the fit is identical just be prepared for some possible color discrepencies that may arrise.

The ratio of slighlty off colored plastic was maybe 1 in 3 and was more prominent in '06 and older Polisport plastic where some of it wasn't even close.

Please note we had the problem I discribed above over a year ago and they may have worked through the problem.

Do you think you'll pick Polisport up again?

Due to my inability to ride very well, my blue plastic on my '02 300 is tired. If i could replace plastics for ~$120, i'd be all over it, color match or not. (I'll need to replace all of the plastic as i am not indiscriminate in how i fall off the thing, so match isn't that important (to me).)

Thanks.

Mark would have to look it up but the list from "worldwidemx" looks about right other than it probably wouldn't have a headlight shell or airbox covers.

The other thing to keep in mind is diminished weight as you would most likely be charged $20 to $25 for shipping.

The distributer we were using no longer handles Polisport so we wouldn't be a good source for it any more. I'm not sure if we were the reason they stopped distributing it as we complained a lot about the colors being off.

Maybe another GasGas dealer here can help you out. No matter who you get it from it would be interesting to hear if they've addressed the color match issues.

I forgot to post my review.

The color is dead on. The plastics fit correctly with all holes lines up. The front fender is indented a little longer towards the front then stock. I'm assuming this was done for strength.

I am quite pleased and consider this to be an excellent deal for the money. Since things tend to disappear for our machines, I think ordering a set for spares is a good idea.

Has anyone ordered the plastic off worldwidemx.com? I placed an order, been almost a week without anything happening (credit card hasn't been charged, nothing). Need plastic for the end of June at the latest.
