Default Auto clutch Install, Rekluse or S3 Clutch Basket?

I just bought a Rekluse Core EXP from Brent. What is the best basket, the Rekluse or the S3? I know that the Rekluse Clutch Basket has the rubber shock insulators. Where is the cheapest place to buy the Rekluse Basket?

For S3, see Page 31.

For Rekluse,

I also saw this thread on converting to Honda friction and steel plates because the stock gasgas plates break when using the EXP. Is that correct, or are the Gasgas plates sufficient?

Yeah, I saw that one too, it looks real nice. Has anyone else had experience with this GG billet basket?

I just talked to tech support at Rekluse. They say that the Honda plates can be used but they have to mix/match plates to get the same height as the stock GasGas stack. They didn't seem to be able to article a specific advantage to going to the Honda stack. They contend that the GasGas plates are fine but they do recommend going to the Rekluse basket because they contend the maching on the GG basket is inconsistent and the tolerances vary per unit. Is that correct? Does anyone know what the advantage would be convert to the Honda plates, besides maybe lower cost?

Even our local KTM riders are often opting for the full Rekluse "Core EXP" set up.

No matter what you think of your GG clutch, it is still better/tougher than a KTM clutch from what I have seen. The '12 clutch basket is actually very nice, obvious different hard coat. I think they knew the '11 was an issue.

So, you think the Rekluse basket is the way to go with the Core EXP?

I have been using a Barnett which has the Stainless Steel Inserts. It has been outstanding on the GasGas. Stock GasGas basket with a Rekluse Core would squel and chatter bad (Was the biggest reason the original owner sold the 2011 Race to me with very low time on it). I took the Barnett out of my 05 and put in in my 2011 and chatter disappeared no matter how bad I abuse it. Auto clutch engagement is also very smooth. I happened to buy mine before Gofasters sold them but I see now they have them for a very reasonable price.

replaced my 11 GG basket with the rekluse, it was much, much better and was quite. the 13 so far has been fine with the stock basket and the rekluse.
