Default Dread It!!!

I was in my garage today thinking about heading up to the mountains for an early morning Sunday ride, when I tripped over this nasty bucket of dirty airfilters then it hit me..................crap....no clean filters! So I broke out a pair of latex gloves, adult beverage, Uni Filter Cleaner Spray and that bucket that about broke my back and got to cleaning. While I was cleaning the filters, I was thinking......... I really hate cleaning filters, can't stand it! DREAD IT! I got to thinking, how many filters have I cleaned over my 35 years of having dirt bikes I thought about asking my wife to do clean them......better not go there!!! Which got me thinking, what other maintenance task do you dread!

Here is my top 3:
1. Cleaning Filters
2. Washing my riding gear
3. Washing my helmet liner

switch to No-Toil and it's no problem at all. Oxy-Clean cleans the filters like new each time.

Oxy-Clean? That's a great tip.

I used to use Amsoil High-Tack air filter oil, but for some reason, Amsoil discontinued it (it was great air filter oil). I switched to no-toil, but haven't found a cleaner other than the no-toil cleaner. I need more, so I'll get some Oxy-clean.

Thanks for that tip. That's great.

My hate to do list:
1) Changing tires
2) Sucking up to the wife before I tell her that I'm ditching her for the weekend at go riding.

Of all the task I perform on the Gassers, I would say I very much dislike greasing the bearings. I loaned my bike out to a fellow GasGas rider to finish out the last week his riding vacation. All I asked was that it come back serviced and greased. Everybody was happy.

I detest the air filter on my 300 as I put it on and check it is sealed over and over as I have heard bad stories of people thinking it is seated properly and then wrecking a motor.
Damn I hate it.
Cheers Mark

Anything I have to replace that I have broke. Hurts the pocket book.

After that I would say tires then grips.

I'll second that air filter install ...
It is a pain in the arse ain't it.
and even though you jamb your finers in there to check...
you never really know until you pull it off if you got it right!!!
for the record I've never had it not go on right ..
but there is always that, "I hope thats on right" thought in the back of my head when I'm closing up the cover!!
