Default 2011 Race model or Cervantes

I am getting interested in a new steed. GasGas seems to have quite a few options for any given bike size now (e-start, ISDE, Race, Replica, more?). I am most interested in the version with 48mm TC Zokes and Ohlins 888. I am not interested in e-start. Is the Race version available in the USA? Are the Nambotin (probably too much $$$ for the TTX stuff) or Cervantes versions available? Prices?

Race versions of the 250 and 300 are being imported. Cervantes replica is speculative at this point, but undoubtedly Clay and Steve will have some information on it when they complete their factory visit this month.

TM,
The Race version should be here in May. It has the 48mm Zokes and Ohlins 888 shock. MSRP is $8299. All of the Race models come with a Race kit which includes the following: *Racing kit includes air filter, front and rear brake pads, brake and clutch levers, piston, gaskets, stickers, SuperSprox sprocket Z50.

The Cervantes model will also be brought into the US but I don't have any information on it yet. I was told we would be given that info in Mid-April.

Clay
thanks for getting back to me. I can see a new Gasser in my future, most likely 300 Race version, unless the Cervantes 250 Replica is something really special.

My pleasure and thanks for considering the purchase of a Gas Gas!

This has been on KTM talk for a week and is possibly the Cervantes bike (although Scotty R says it is not which would be to bad). Very sweet just the same. Watch the vids and if you can understand what they are saying please let us know.

Have seen those vids, and every photo I can find. Now waiting for official spec sheet.

Honestly, the Race version has everything I want. The 250/300 motor is the industry leader, the 50mm TC Zokes (at least the FBF Shivers I had) are probably my favorite fork (the 48mm should be no different), and the Ohlins 888 is tried and true (I have loved all Ohlins shocks since my my 86 1/2 Husky wrx250).

The Cervantes version will just have some cool bling that I may desire.

Looks like the Race with 48mm Zokes will be in the States by late June or early July.

Any photos available?
