Sand Goblin Enduro 2012

This is my son and I prior to the start of the Grand Kankakee Trail Riders' annual Sand Goblin Enduro held near Roselawn IN yesterday. What a fun weekend! I rode in the Sand Booger Family Enduro Saturday, with a light rain off & on, and absolutely couldn't quit grinning. The dirt was simply amazing.

Except for running out of gas and losing 3 minutes in section 2, due to a stuck float valve, my son said the new 300 Gasser was great! He finished 4th in the AA class. GasGas rider and defending D14 Grand Champion Aaron Wegner took the Overall win.

I was there also, and the trail conditions were fantastic! This was my first enduro on the Gas Gas.

My results weren't nearly as stellar as your sons though. I finished 7th in my class and 19th in the B overall. Not what I was hoping for, but something to build on.

The 2011 250 Race worked flawlessly all day long, but I figured out that it's time to gear it down from the stock 48 gearing. I found myself in between 2nd and 3rd too much.
