I find Rotella T6 to be a bit too heavy and ATF a bit too thin. I know this will be sacrilege to many of you but I have been using a 50/50 mix of Rotella T6 and ATF and it works great and it is inexpensive.

Bingo, same here. Change it when it gets jerky, and you can adjust the ratio to suit your preference on clutch action (thicker or thinner). Plus, ATF has really great detergents to help keep everything clean. AND it's cheap (just like me!).
