Thank you very much Elvis for this pics and info, your YZ cylinder is it also 4JY marked? 1997-1998? But still up to 2004 they all fit on the YZ, so Gasgas use the head style as TM with the dome down in cylinder, and YZ as japs flat on. What year is your Gasgas cylinder?

I wonder if anyone know the difference between the Crankcase of Gasgas EC 125 year 2001 and year 2013, its hard to see with the eye but the part number is different.

Default YZ 125 Cylinder on Gasgas EC 125

I don’t know the production year of my spare cylinders, me bike is from 2011 and all cylinders Inhaber fit the crankcase.
About the new models, incant see a difference between my 2011 and the new 2012-2014 motors. In my opinion the motor is the same.

By the way, I never mounted the YZ cylinder until now, I just bought it because I got it cheap and for the 125 you cannot have enough spare parts. ;-)

Hey Elvis.

Did you make the cylinder swap for the GasGas 125 with the YZ 125? How did it went, did you make big changes for it to fit?

I have been following this subject with great interest.

Thank you!
