Lost Washer PV to Clutch Side
I found that my washer and allen bolt that holds the PV lever on the shaft had backed out. I found the bolt back at the scorpion on gear shift shaft. I haven't found the washer. I haven't pulled the side cover yet but I looked with a mirror with no joy. I'm afraid its gotten deeper.
If I don't find it when I pull the side cover, any other ideas? any bets where I will find it? If I don't find it, ride and pray it stays on the bottom of the gear case or split the engine? Last edited by canadianstrom; 04-15-2018 at 08:58 PM. Reason: spallin |

Do not ride the bike.
You can have catastrophic transmission failure if the wash gets jammed between the gears. |

No need to split the cases, the power valve mechanism is under the clutch cover. On my '03, I recall it was kind of a PIA to get the cover back on with the cylinder in place due to the cylinder to cover seal, but doable.
