Go to any speedway track in the uk and you will see lots of guys in wheelchairs paralysed, frightening sport, its alot safer than it used to be, but you couldnt pay me to get on one of those!

You gotta have respect for those guys, 0-60 in around 2 seconds, no brake, 60-70 hp, massive roost. When I was in the Marine Corps, stationed in So.Cal, my weekly Friday night habit was Costa Mesa Fairgrounds for Speedway races. Love'd it! I missed the 82 World Finals in So.Cal, when 2 time world champ Bruce Penhall brought home the bacon!!!

I used to watch speedway GP all the time when it was on speed. Then they went nascar and that was the end of the coverage. best race I saw was one with billy hamill in the final i believe. four guys going at it like wolves. Speedway is right up there with the isle of man.
