kill switch extending?

Hey guys,

I have an 04 ec300 and just changed some things around, adding a brp triple clamp and 06 gasgas fat bars.

However with these bars the kill switch will not clamp around them. On my 04 they actually mounted low on the bars which I thought was weird to begin with. How can I go about making these either fit onto the fat part of the new bars or extending the wiring to put the switch up near the grips?

Have you traced the Kill switch wiring to see if you can extend it a bit more. Once you get near to the end of the bars it should fit.

You might have to use a longer small bolt from a hardware store. Maybe a small tie-rap instead of a bolt...
Your local dealer would most likely have one made for fat bars. Couldn't cost that much to have the proper one fitted.

Thanks gasgasman. My switch looks like it has only one wire, but it could be two really small one insdie there. I think Ill try cutting it and extending the wires. If that doesnt work then I will get something like that other switch.
