Go with the 300. I asked myself the same question before I bought my 300 and I am glad I bought it. Nothing wrong with the 250's. It is just nice to have that extra power when needed, plus you can lug the 300 around like a 4- stroke without fouling a plug.

JMO Though.

They are both darn good motorcycles and either would be a good choice.
I have ridden both and I would say the engine on the 300 is really smooth
and wants to lug, but then the 250 (current ride) is alot of motor as well but feels a little lighter when throwing it around. Either way your going to be happy getting on a gasgas after that kawa.

Where are you located?

I will be selling my '03 250 shortly. I have a few accessories to remove but the bike is still loaded. I guarantee you will not find a stronger running better detailed GG 250. I like a lot of bottom too, and the bike has it. More details and pics to follow in a few days.
