Default 2 + hrs of racing

With the stock gasgas 200 fuel cell.
Would I need to stop for fuel? or could I make it without fueling?

This would be for a 2hr harescramble woods race and am an old mid pack Sen. A rider, but do like to ride the pipe.

Chance it? or would you stop for a quick gallon and go?

Thanks...the reason I don't know is I busted myself up riding it (not bikes fault..lol) at race speed (third time on bike) and am on the sideline for another few weeks...

I always do it on a cleanly jetted '07 250, never stop. Longest was about 2.5 hrs on a semi sand course with a lot of throttle so you should be OK on a 200. I don't worry about it, and I hate the feel of big tanks. If you can afford to stop for a splash without losing a position do so.

i did 2.5 yesterday on a 300 with clean jetting., didn't hit reserve. jetted properly with good float height, i could do 2.5 on the 200 easy. reserve goes maybe 15 minutes (at most).. so if its a short course, you could hit reserve and still refuel...

on the 200 i would refuel (.5 gallon) just to get the 15 second break. i could make up the 15 seconds (and more) with the quick break.....

Ahhh, yes the 15-20 second stop is sometimes needed...lol (for mental support, hydrate needs and or fresh goggles).
But, it is a bad deal when you see a guy in your class whip by....

If your transponder scoring and display system is like ours you should see your place and where you stand in time between the riders ahead and behind you. So you should be able to make that decision on the fly as long as your crew is ready.

your transponder system tells you time ahead or next place??? all the ones i've been through only tell time behind the place in front of you. or just leader/1st and time elapsed. i wish i knew how far behind the next place guy was....
