carb dimensions and advice needed

so i got my Kehin as1 carb today and went to mount it up to my 2010 ec300...no go appears longer than the as2 it came with. Now before anyone tells me to mount the as2 back up, its on my husky and the more i read the as1 is taller than the as2 and ill need a different cable adjuster and i cant have both bikes down right now waiting for parts. So.. the 300 appears to have a reed spacer. what will happen if i remove it, and it appears i will have to order shorter bolts with out the spacer as i couldnt get them in all the way. anyone have an AS1 on a 300 that could give some advice? thanks!

Hacksaw + elbow grease = shorter bolts (then order an M6 bolt kit from Rocky Mountain)
IMO, 300s have too much low end pull so ditching the reed spacer is probably a good thing. Give it a try and let us know how it works out.

Ya ingot the bolts handled, still having a hell of a time getting the pwk as1 in place tho.
