Default EC300 exhaust valve broke

I have just stripped down the exhaust / power valve on my 05 ec300 and found the bearings have seized which in turn has caused the bolt on the valve lever plate that is attached to the power valve lever rod to shear.

Is this something to be wary of or am I just unlucky????

It does not take much to break the bell crank bolt.
The pivot pin is machined down to about 2mm and then welded to the back side of the bell crank.
IMO, they should weld the pivot pin on both sides of the bell crank. On my 2001 bike, I had that done when mine snapped off while removing the nut.
