Default Hello fellow forum members!

Is everyone on here also on the Smackover forum? If I've got a technical question which is the best one to ask it on?
Cheers Steve.

I am also new to this forum. I am waiting for the 07 models to arrive. After doing research about gasgas I feel this is the new bike for me. One thing I will have to do is lower the bike with lowering links. My plan is for a 250. I have never been on a gasgas but by all I have read should be best in the business.

It sounds like the 07s will be about an inch lower to the ground.

The combination between the new Sachs shock, new subframe and new seat is supposed to lower the bike's seat height around 1."

Hey Steve,
According to what I have seen- the sachs shock and lower seat height will only be on the entry model ec200 "hobby".

For '07, the suspension on the 250, and all EC models except for the "hobby", is ohlins rear with refined valving on the marzocchi fork in the front....

Les has told me it is extemely easy to shorten the fork on the shock. Suspension linkage pullrods are available to shorten the bike in the rear.

The press release I read says what Jeff is saying. Sachs only on the EC200 Hobby.

During the WEC rounds we talked to the factory mechanics quite a bit aboyt the 07s and my information is from what I heard from them.

They may be out of the loop on what decisions that corprate is making.

Smile Hello fellow forum members!

Greetings to our new members. I'm a newby on here myself. Lot's of experience here on ggriders. I can help prk03 out on lowering his gas gas. I'm 5ft. 6" and have tried the lowering links and halve had my xr440 lowered. The Lowering links tend to make the rear softer. Just to get my gasgasfse450 I installed a koubalink that brought it down in the back about 2". Then I raised the fork tubes in the triple clamps some. My plan is to send my suspension off to Les at lt-racing.com or (360) 871-2259. This guy is the best. He suggests no more than a one inch lowering link in back. I'm gonna have him lower and revalve while he's in there. I can hardly wait! These bike handle so well and with his magic touch, all the better.
Good to have ya here, Bob
