Larsa yes you need to connect the brown and white wire to a small 9 volt battery to maintain the time when the motor is off. I was told by the dealer the RMP meter is disconnected under the fuel tank somewhere when delivered ? I havn't persued this one as I don't have time to look at the dashdoard when the revs a climbing.

Thumbs up It works

Many thanks "Wise old man"

I connected the brown cable to + and the white cable to –
To a 9V battery and now I don’t lose the clock settings.
And the clock is always on. It is sad that I can't see the rest
when the engin is off.

I have not yet look for the RPM cable but this is not so imported.

To connect the taco, splice the yellow wire in the airbox (the one with a male head not connected to anything) with the white/blue trace wire next to it.

I'm not sure the taco wiring is the same as previous models as I have a ec250 2007 and there is no yellow wire in the airbox. I am planing on having a play though to see if I can get it going on mine at some stage.

so you just cable tied the battery somewhere behind the headlight?
my dash turns off at idle, so thought this might help, but sounds like it's only for the clock.
be interested to see how the tacho goes.
