Default Will anything other than a GG rear wheel fit on a GG?

Since I have had very limited answers to my previous questions re. my new GG, I thought not only would I ask a new question, but I would go so far as to provide the answer as well.

Not sure what else will fit my 450 FSE, but for sure, with out anything other than a little grinding on the DRZ spacers and the GG brake bracket, my DRZ 400 SM wheel will fit just fine with a 150-60-17 tire. The only insurmountable problem seems to be that the DRZ SM is fitted with a 240 mm rotor. I am going to order a DRZ S model rotor (220 mm) same size as the GG and that should fix that problem. Once I get it working properly, I will buy a new DRZ 17"wheel set up.

I'm still working on what to fit on the front. So far, the only candidate is a late model Husky wheel.

Tony

Well I'm not sure if the 2 stroke wheels are the same as the 4 stroke but I have put a 1989 Honda CR250 rear on my 07 EC 300.
Direct swap, didn't have to change the spacers or rotor.

So an 89-97 CR250 rear wheel will work on a 04+ gasgas?

My 2001 XC 250 has a 19" 1995 KX 250 wheel, including rotor & spacers. I installed a 54T sprocket to accomidate the extra diameter(13/54, 19" wheel...works great in the mountains).

He used the complete wheel and spacers from an 89. 18". looks like wapr9 makes them, listed as 89-97, so I assume they are the same through those years. Spacers may not be the same as the gasser though...
