Default Rebuilding my 2001 ec200

Im getting ready to rebuild my ec and have a few questions.

According to what the crossover chart states the 200 uses the same piston as the polaris 600 uses and i have searched the forums here quite a bit and have yet to find a post where someone has actually stated that they have used this piston.

Does anyone know for sure if the polaris piston indeed the correct piston for my 2001 ec?

Does GoFasters not have the piston? I have not used the Polaris piston which is a (weisco) in my 200, I've used a OEM on my topend rebuilds.

Are you splitting the cases and doing a big end bearing as well??? If so, make sure that you check the crank stuffer screws....you don't want those to back out.

I spoke with Steve over at gofasters today, a very nice and helpful guy btw, and they do have the piston, however, he thought it was a good idea to buy the piston from the plating company so that they get the exact size matched up.

The piston that came out of the bike is a 62.45 and the wiseco is listed at 62.50. Not sure if that is enough difference to split hairs over but i will leave that up to the guys at Millinium Cylinder.

I am going to have RB Designs rebuild the crank for me or at leasat inspect it to see if it is still satisfactory for use.

I will be buying all the other parts from gofasters when the time comes.

Well, the project is almost complete. I just need an adapter for the chain guide, a new kickstand, and a magnetic drain plug. All of which I have ordered from GoFasters. Those guys are excellent.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. I will get some better ones soon.
