Where are you measuring you 1.5mm float on your mid valve?
The .10mm face shim makes sense, I may try that

Yes,
between the piston face and the first shim or face shim...I used a feeler gauge and guesstimated as close to 1.5mm as I could without any deflection of the shim.
I trail only, logs, roots, rocks, all woods and jungle stuff...no mx.
That's why I can get away with a softer valving setting.
Did I mention I did go to stiffer springs front and rear, so that I can get the bike to ride higher in the stroke.

Your lucky i telephoned marzzochi today they could not help at all with the stock shim set up. They advised me to speak to GG uk.

I didnt bother cos GGuk would only tell me to speak to Marzzochi. ho hum

Try calling Steve Plain, they do a lot of suspension for GG's in the UK.
