Default New addition to the family

Picked up this badboy last weekend to keep the ec-250 from getting lonely. Can't say how it works as the H1N1 flu has got me knackered, will have to wait till Baja in Feb to try it out.

Yes Its a 08 Beta 450 RR. Sorry for the small pic, I will try to rectify. Well took it out yesterday for the first time, snotty nose and all. Took it to an area with lots of sandy whoops and little frozen ground to try and wring out the engine and get the suspension to go through the full travel. My initial feeling is that it feels light, on my scale its fifteen pounds more than my ec with comparable fuel load and accessories. The bike sits lower than some four strokes kinda like a gasser, I'm fine with that. Jetting appeared to be spot on @ 50.f and 2500 feet elavation , starts instintly and carburates well. The front forks felt awesome but the sachs shock felt hacky till i realized the comp was turned full soft. I found a dime in my pocket and turned the clicker in and tried the same whoop section again. The bike felt great and I was able to ride those whoops faster than I ever could on the ec which should come as now suprise, apples to oranges. The pirelli scorpians felt really good in the wet hard sand and the nissan brakes were awesome. I found the stock ergos better suited for shorter riders so today I'm going to raise the bars and try again, will keep you posted.
