i sure do hope so. i'm just about to pull the 200 motor..it'll give me a chance to grease swingarm bearings anyways. the swingarm bolt came out nice and easy...

I think as long as the years are the same range. An 04 motor does not bolt up right to an 05 for example.

for future reference:

complete 300 motor with transmission fluid weighs 60lbs exactly.
complete 200 motor with transmission fluid weighs 56.65 lbs exactly.

the swap was because the 200 was setup for me - suspension.etc. the 300 was bone stock. i wanted to get a little more juice... i rode it a bit with the 200 cdi. nice and snappy. when i get the 300 motor rebuilt i'm definitely putting it back in. i wasn't happy with the suspension/handling of the 99, but i liked the motor, and knew i could tailor it to for woods racing use/figure out how to ride off the pipe.. get some grunt instead of screaming all the time on the 200... i do know i'll have to change my methods quite a bit, as i'm always at the top of a gear on the 200...

the frames are different. there's more bracing around the upper shock mount and subframe on the earlier (99 - 300) model.

as for the swap, it went in easy. i pulled 2 motors, and swapped in a few hours. now i gotta pull and swap again. can't really wait for a bottom end, i have races every weekend..

i did get a chance to lube swingarm and suspension linkage. i'm definitely gonna need a bearing or two, but they'll have to wait for the next swap in.
