GasGas Diet Plan
Does your Gas'er need to shed a few pounds around the mid section?
You have come to the right place. Only with deep pockets! Much easier than Jenny Craig Check out the link below. http://www.motonews.com/index.php?op...179008&catid=4

All that weight savings will be for naught when you hit the first mud hole.

I wouldn't think that there would really be much weight saved in changing the fasteners to titanium, as most of the stuff on the gasser is aluminium anyway.
Plastic and magnesium covers on the engine, billet triple clamps, etc. Maybe use a carbon carbon fibre for the plastic parts, airbox etc. |

Rick, you always find the coolest shiz, mane.
I've always fantasized about getting an entire Ti bolt kit, but I was cured of actually going for it once when I was with a buddy at a Ducati dealer. We went in there, and he came out with a small handful of Ti fasteners which he slipped into his pocket to replace the $250 he pulled out. Ouch. In uber fantasy mode, I'd go for all ti fasteners, a ti subframe, ti springs, ti axles. Ahhhhh.

It would be neat to remove every fastener, scale it, then plop down Ti fasteners and see what the difference is......with all the different sizes used on a GasGas...at least the olders I think I'm sure it would add up to more than one would think. I know my rear axle is like a sludge hammer

That's really cool. I always thought a retired MX Team bike would be fun to have.

Imagine doing the frame in Ti,, fuel tank in carbon fiber,, and subframe ti too.. if one would spend the cash I'm sure it could be down under the 200# mark.. ti skidplate would save weight.. but just think how much you would be stimulating the economy..
