Hello all,I have an 02 ec 300,my question is,do I need to connect the lighting wires coming from the stator as my harness is chopped up?I would like to just run the wires from the ignition if possable, will this work? Thanks.

Personally I would try to replace the loom what been chopped away and plug it straight up and play
Connecting to the ignition coil might not be a good idea

I would get a wiring diagram and see what's missing worst case you could solder new wires in

Thanks for the reply,I should been more clearer with my question.Coming out of my case are two sets of wires, one to the cdi,the other the lights, horn, ect.Being a quad I am restoring,no need for turn signals!Anyhow,I just want to unplug the two wires that power the lights ect.that come out of the case, and remove all the excess wiring, all I need is a kill switch. Will this work? Thanks.

I too can confirm it will work, just disconnect the light loom wiring and away you go. Thats how my EC250 was setup when I bought it.. Wasn't as much fun re-wiring.. :-)
