Default Do yourself a favor

Hey All, I have been dealing with the starter on my 13 off and on for 2 years now. I'd get it working 95 % for a while and then it would go tits up again. Installed the Honda bendix last night. HA!!! It actually sounds like a starter now instead of a clothes dryer full of gravel. Do yourself a favor and get the SMU5011 bendix.

Mine works ok but not great. I've been on the fence about the Honda Bendix, I just re-read the starter thread about two weeks ago. So, now I think I will give it a try. Thanks for posting!

I've done mine and it works!
Could you please count the teeth on both gears as I would like to
Find a complete compatible bendix that would drop right in
Without having to disassemble the honda part.

Ah come on, you don't like the 14 holes in your fingers trying to get that clip off?

Arrowhead is the manufacturer. I went to their website and didn't find anything. The bendix gear is 14 tooth and the starter drive is 40. Also the OAL is 74.24 I think.
