The small Kokusan MX ignition stator with no lighting coil is actually a 2K-1. I thought some MCs came with this.

Also, the KTM Kokusan 2K-2 uses the same stator as a GG Kokusan 2K-2, I verified this myself on my friends '00 300 EXC, even the plates are similar(for the '00 motor). So the same mod as Matt linked to could apply to adding lighting to an MC250 with a 2K-1, or to replace a bad 2K-2 stator.

Edit- looking at the cafe husky thread it looks like I need to remove the flywheel wieght and the stator cover to get a look at what you guys are talking about?
