EC300 2008 total hours on TT speedo?

Hi guys, I'm hoping to get my new GG home someday soon, and as it's brand new (one of the last 2008 in stock in Sweden), I thought it'd be nice to keep track of the hours. Apparently this function is built in to the Trailtech multifunction speedo, but apparently some of the functions may not be activated. Is there something I need to do to get the "total hours" working or does it come connected?

According to the manual that you get with the bike, it is built in and also cannot be reset.

It may be time for me to answer my own question. The hourmeter is activated on the same input as the tacometer. Thus it doesn't come installed from the factory. As Len correctly pointed out, you can't reset it.
