He called, he determined that my bars are what I will call version 1.5 (not the original but an improved version that came out before version 2). He did not want them back and he offered no replacement at any discount. I guess I purchased my bars a month too soon. Oh well.

I made sure that there were no sharp edges on control mounts and handlebar mounts. Ie filed a slight chamfer.

so, got my bars finally!!! what a great thing to see them in real. mounted it, got the windham bend and 3flex, looks freaky!
first ride, after two minutes of riding it was clear for me THIS is THE thing!
awesome feeling, eats up ALL vibrations and sharp impacts.
undoubtable, the best thing i ever spent money on for a part on my bike. big thanks to doug cain from twistedengineering for that awesome product! only problem ive got now, i dont want to ride a bike anymore without that bar.

so i got my te-bar half a season and rode about 150hours with it. im still very satisfied with it. i tried different bikes with conventional bars meanwhile and the difference is crazy. when i stick on a bike with alloy bar it really feels you have a peace of metal in your hand, a direct, rough feeling.
i also had an huge crash, unluckily a highsider on asphalt! came into a lefthandcorner and didnt notice there was running a small stream water over it, backwheel overtaked me and got grip, smash! i wasnt really fast, about 40km/h, but the bike impacted direct on the bar really hard. lucky i got just a bruse on my arm. the bar had nothing exept a small damage on the alloy pipe on the right side end. any alloy bar would have been destroyed, guaranteed! i understand from it that the bar ate up all the impact. not even the fork was twisted.
thumbs up.

Glad you are okay. Agreed. I really like this product. Many impacts and not an issue one.
