Default My new Nambo is Home

Hey all
I brought home my New 2011 Nambo last night
The bike is even nicer than my 2010 Nambo was
I am currently in the process of the E-Start conversion , but after we did the mechanical end of things we discovered that the bracket to relocate the CDI box was missing , so rather than Mickey Mouse that and start with the Zap Straps and such , we left it at that.
So i have a e-start looking bike right now
I took Reverup's advice and picked up a Shoria Battery for it , that will eliminate almost Half of the kit weight right there , and it the most important weight too , the weight that had the highest center of gravity
Breaking it in today and picks to follow

Nice Steve!

Those are a sweet looking bikes. I'm sure you will have a hoot breaking her in!

I will have to bring my Gasser with me next summer when we come up to visit the family in Duncan and maybe we can hook up for a ride.

BTW, selling the '10? Might be a reason for me to head up and visit the fam early!

Absolutely firffighter

I bought the Shoria from Blackfoot Motorsports in Calgary , Alberta
they were great to deal with , and had it in my hands in 2 days for 15 bucks shipping

The 2010 Nambo was bought by one of my friends , and he is grinning as he's coming off a 2002 Husaberg 400 , that was a bit tricky to start at times

as for the weight of a starter motor and bendix and such hanging off the side of the bike , never even noticed it at all today , and BTW , the bike runs great and has an even better feel than my 2010 in the handling dept , and thats with out my Scotts damper on it yet , it tracks very true and the front end felt great , the suspension is stock settings and stiff right now , as its not broken in , but i seemed to get past that after about 15 mins
i will play with the clickers a bit for tomorrow , little changes at a time and will be on the same trails again

I have to say , the GG has put together another great bike , and its just plain sexy too

That's awesome Steve.

The Nambo's do look amazing. I've got my eye on an '11 too.

Some pics would be great, and I would love to see some helmet cam of those amazing Lake cowichan trails!

BTW, how's the cold lablatts eh?

I just bought one. The Shorai LFX14L2-BS12 has the correct terminal layout to match the 2011 GasGas battery tray. I tried only one start with it so far, but it jumped to life compared to the Yuasa that had only 50% success rate at best. I hope to get out riding next week.
