Default Power valve

Gday.
I just removed my power valve cover and a heap of oil poured out of it. I have been running the pre mix at between 40 and 45:1. I noticed a small nipple with a hose infront of the cover that runs down under the engine but it had been cable tied shut. I removed the cable tie and a touch of orange fluid came out of it followed my more oil. Is this ment to be a over flow of some sort ?? First two stroke so sorry if this is a simple one.
Thanks in advance. Oh Its an 07 EC300.

You must have the hose open to drain the pv compartment. Cut it on an angle on the end. The reason it is tied shut is for Euro emissions. You should also find your crankcase vent and route it up and over where the rad mounts to the frame and loop it down like an upside down J .

There is also a drain for the ignition under the engine. You can plug up the hole with the proper size bolt but then you must run a vent hose through the rubber plug at about the 10 o'clock position on the stator cover. Just drill a hole through the plug and push a hose in. Then run the hose up to the top of the rad and loop it like the vent hose. This is a good mod if you ride in a lot of deep water or mud, as the water will corrode the stator if it gets in and doesn't drain.
