Removing Rear Shock

The shock come out the top, right where the airbox is....so plan on removing the:

1. seat
2. side panels
3. silencer
4. lossen clamp to airboot to carb bell
5. remove the (2)bolts that attach the subframe to the back bone of the frame, lossen the 2 bottom subframe bolts, lay the subframe back just enough to get the shock out.
5. remove dogbogs to allow for lower shock bolt to be removed(watch for bushings and thrust washers)
6. remove upper shock bolt...
7. pull out shock.

Just a little .02, if your going to do swingarm maintenance, strip the bike of all parts from the fuel tank back, rear tire, ect, ect. Much eaiser to tackel with all that "stuff" out of the way.

A bit less work if you do this...

1. seat
2. side panels
3. silencer
4. lossen clamp to airboot to carb bell
5. remove the (2)bolts that attach the subframe to the back bone of the frame, lossen the 2 bottom subframe bolts, rotate the subframe over the top to get the shock out.
6. remove upper shock bolt
7. *raise the rear wheel up enough to access the lower shock bolt & remove the lower shock bolt* [the dogbones do not need to be loosened/removed] (watch for bushings and thrust washers)
8. pull out shock.
