I agree the future is none too bright for two strokes. Kawasaki has dropped the KX250 from its 2008 NA line-up.

On the technology side..
In order to reduce two stroke emissions the fuel mixture needs to be directly injected into the cylinder after the exhaust port closes. Direct injection also benefits four strokes. Mazda has a production DI system in the CX-7. |

Most certainly. Wrist pin lubrication comes to mind. However, if Aprilia can pull it off on a scooter then the Big-5 should be able to manage something larger. |
