Default Make old swingarm look new?

Anything I can do to clean my swingarm up a little bit and cover up all these scratches? Maybe give it a uniform, brushed look somehow. Any ideas? Thanks

You can have GraphicMX make up a nice swingarm decal for you or buy a complete graphics kit from marsden. He has graphic kits available for '07 gasgas now (as well as older models). He is a sponsor here - so being that he helps keep the lights on, yes I am spamming for him!

PM gasgasman as he wet sanded his swing arm on his old bike and man did that thing shine. After wet sanding it throw some Mothers Metal Polish on it and really bring the luster out.

I think he used 1000 Grit paper but ask him to be sure.

I used mothers aluminum polish to clean up a swingarm on a txt280 trials bike - I wish I would have seen the post on wet-sanding - it took way too long to rub out all the scratches. And the previous owner had used something caustic to clean the bike that etched the aluminum on the swingarm.

The other option would be to have the swingarm "bead blasted" to give it the uniform brushed appearance that you mention above.

After I wet sand I use Steel wool Like an S.O.S. Pad for cleaning pots. Then as mentioned use the mothers aluminum polish to shine it up to a chrome like appearance. Expect blackened fingers by the time you finish the job.

Why not get some of those cool polycarbonate swingarm covers?
